My Top 6 posts for 2014

It is Sunday and I haven’t written my weekly wrap up yet. I was out of town from Wednesday until Saturday, visiting BC Children’s Hospital for Philip’s check up. Everything is fine and he is starting to grow. He is now at the 5th percentile for height and weight. I will post more with next weeks weekly wrap up. So in the mean time here is a post I had already written on my top posts from 2014.

I find it interesting to go into my Google Analytics and see what my most popular posts are.

1. Becoming a SAHD Minimalist – This one made the list after I joined the ‘Becoming a Minimalist‘ board on Babycenter. There was some curiosity about me since I am the only guy over there. Also I was very willing to post some rather embarrassing pictures of our clutter. I wrote this to answer a number of questions that had come up.

2. Weekly Wrap Up: The One with Middle of the Night Laundry – It took me a while to figure out how this random weekly wrap up made the list. I was the current post when I joined the ‘Becoming a Minimalist’ Board and wrote my first post over there.

3. 7 Clues you Might be a Homeschooling Dad – This is my favorite of the year. Kris over at ‘Weird Unsocialized Homeschoolers wrote a post “10 Clues You Might be a Homeschool Dad” from the point of view of a working, homeschooling Dad. So I wrote one from the point of view of a teacher, homeschooling dad.

The next three are my curriculum posts for this year. As always I link them up over at iHomeschool Network. I always link them up separately and with the grade as the description.

4. Kindergarten Curriculum

5. Grade 7 Curriculum

6. Grade 5 Curriculum

Interesting Mention

One of my posts from last year became very popular this year and I couldn’t figure out why until I looked at the search terms that were driving traffic to it. It was just another random weekly wrap up but it had a map of Marco Polo’s Route, done by my daughter, on it. The search terms lead me to believe that it is being found by other kids doing their homework. I can only hope that they are not just copying it outright.

  1. I’m so glad to hear that Philip is doing well! I’ve read #1 and #3. I’ll need to check out the others! That’s funny about Margaret’s map!
